The Department was established in the year of 2005-2006. Mechanical Engineering remains at the core of all advancements in Engineering & Technology. The dept. has elaborate infrastructure & laboratories as per the AICTE norms. The dept. is enriched with highly qualified faculty members. To establish industry-institute interaction a Mechanical Engineering Society has been constituted with students as office bearers. Regular industrial visits, expert lectures & trainings is organised.
Personal attention is given to each student through tutor-guardian scheme. Students of Mechanical Engineering always remain at the forefront of all activities in the institute.Head of the Department

Dr. S. G. Sharma an eminent & a renowned educationist possesses vast experience of teaching research and administration. During the span of over 35 years he has been associated with teaching, research and administration in many government-engineering colleges. He is Ex. Principal of Government College of engineering, Ujjain.
An expert on heat transfer engineering, Dr. S. G. Sharma was honoured with President of India award in 1975 for his outstanding contribution in the field of Mech. Engg. He has published number of research papers and guided students for their doctoral thesis. He is a life member of ISTE and Institute of Engineer(I), Kolkata.Sr.Faculty:
